DIY or Call Us?

There’s honest work an owner can do here. Check the post caps for cracks, clear weep holes with a wire, and tighten loose screws with a driver. If a rail has popped out and the bracket tab is still intact, you can snap it back in by hand on a warm afternoon when the vinyl is flexible.

Where DIY goes wrong is the footing. ECO posts are hollow sleeves over a core; if the core is rotten or the concrete is cracked, the repair requires excavation, re-pour, and realignment of the rail plane across three or four bays. We’ve been called to Pomona jobs where a homeowner dug one post, poured new concrete, and discovered the adjacent two posts were also loose once the fence tension redistributed.
